Tasks in the project
In this project CISSOID will develop a generic solution for interfacing with sensors that are used in harsh and high temperature environments such as the chemical combustion sensors. These will include the different building blocks for the adequate signal conditioning and conversion such as programmable gain amplifiers, high resolution AD converters and also the control and programming blocks for calibration, linearization and compensation. These functions will be implemented in the adequate SOI-technology fully characterised and also qualified for reliability for prolonged operation at 225ºC
Experience relevant to the task
CISSOID has proven to be capable of developing and putting on the market complex and high performance circuits that operate reliably at high temperatures of 225ºC and above. These circuits include amongst other instrumentation amplifiers, 10 bit resolution A-D converter, 8 bit programmable comparators, voltage references, timers and transceivers for wireless tags. CISSOID has also a wealth of experience to design-in the requirements for reliable operation at high temperatures including the impact of the package and integration with the surrounding electronics.

François Piette: Senior IC Design Engineer. Formely at Connexant Systems and at Melexis, he has more than 15 years of experience in the design of sensor interface integrated circuits, including low noise amplifiers and analog-to-digital converters. François also worked on system design for rain, rotary and halleffect sensors for automotive applications. François Piette holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering Degree from Université de Liège.
Pierre Delatte: CTO. One of the co-founders of CISSOID. With 15 years of experience in High Temperature Integrated Circuits (IC) design, he is in charge of the Technical Development and vision of the company. Pierre Delatte is also in charge of Advanced R&D programs at CISSOID. Pierre Delatte holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering Degree from Université Catholique de Louvain.
Etienne Vanzieleghem: VP Engineering. Formerly at Alcatel-Lucent where he held several engineering management positions including DSL program manager, DSL end-user equipment engineering manager and telecom SW applications engineering director. Etienne Vanzieleghem holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering Degree from Université Catholique de Louvain.
Laurent Demeûs: COO. One of the co-founders of CISSOID. With 15 years of experience in High Temperature Integrated Circuits (IC) development and manufacturing, he is in charge of the Operations of the company. Laurent Demeûs is CISSOID expert in the packaging and assembly of High Temperature components. Laurent Demeûs holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering Degree from Université Catholique de Louvain and a MBA of the Solvay Business School.
